Before and After Makeover Look

Stacy Molter strikes me as this bold, outdoorsy, fearless woman who can square up with a mountain lion and pick up a rattlesnake.

Watch ‘Total Mom Makeover’ episode #5:

We learned some great tips and how-to’s from celebrity hairstylist Dusty Simington of Salon Gregories as well as from our very own Dream Team that we’re sharing with you today:

Total Mom Makeover 2
TIP #1: A side ponytail is super easy to do and creates a more youthful appearance. Just tease hair, smooth it to the side and tie at the base of the side of your neck with a tie, and smooth hairs down with finishing spray.

Total Mom Makeover Tip
TIP #2: Apply mascara quickly and easily by placing your mascara want in the middle of your lashes and jiggling up toward the ends of lashes and working the same pattern through the remainder of your eyelashes. Finish mascara application by running the tip of your mascara want at the top corner ends of your eyelashes.

DAISY: Do you have any children? If yes, how many children do you have and what are their ages?
STACY: Yes. 4 children – Twin Boys 11 Years, Boy 6 Years, Girl 4 Years

DAISY: What are your favorite hobbies and/or types of community service you serve in?
STACY: My favorite hobby is photography, though unless it's work related I usually don't have time to get out and shoot. I homeschool our four children which we absolutely love. It's a great fit for our family. I also serve on the Board of Directors for our local little league. And I LOVE helping other blogger succeed.

DAISY: Walk us through what your mornings look like getting everyone ready for the day:
STACY: My mornings are all about our kids. Around 7:00am I jump in the shower and get ready to head downstairs. My hair is really long so I usually go down with wet hair to let it air dry a bit. It takes forever to blow dry.

Once downstairs I'm greeting by 1,000 mom, mama, mommy, mom requests from our four kids and try to squeak out a cup of coffee and answer a few emails while everyone eats. Once breakfast is made and the kids are fed, I usually run upstairs dry my hair before starting homeschool. I have no idea where the time flies between 7AM and 9AM.

There's no glam in my mornings, and I miss it. I feel like I'm stuck in a rut with what to do with myself in the mornings.

DAISY: How do you typically style your hair on a normal day?
STACY: My hair is long, so I usually throw it in a pony or flat iron it straight down. I would love to learn some easy, cute and trendy ways to style long hair.

DAISY: How much time do you think you need each morning to get yourself ready?
STACY: Need or get. I usually get 1/2 an hour without doing makeup.

Total Mom Makeover Stacy Molter and Family

DAISY: When was the last time you made time for yourself?
STACY: I can't remember.

DAISY: What do you feel needs improvement with your current style and look?
STACY: Since my style is currently missing, I think I need to start fresh with some new ideas. The only way I know how to apply makeup is outdated. I really would love to learn how to create a clean and fresh style at home.

DAISY: What's your unqiue story you'd like to share with the world?
STACY: I'm that typical busy homeschool mom that everyone looks at and says ‘I don't know how you do it.' Guess what? Some days I don't know how I do it either. I'm the mother of twins her always has her hands full. Really full. But I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm the mom of the peanut allergy kids who DOESN'T want nuts banned from school. Instead, I believe in education and prevention, and a little bit of faith. I'm on the Board of Directors of the only sport where 6+4+3=2, and there's nothing that makes me happier than dirt, grass stains, and a smile on my kids' face. I love helping people any way I can.

Fun tidbit: I once squared up with a mountain lion in the Tahoe National forest, and I've even picked up a rattlesnake and lived to tell the tail.

DAISY: What positive changes have you felt or experienced when you've fixed yourself up?
STACY: I always feel better about myself when I've fixed myself up, and when I feel better about myself I'm happier and I'm more positive with others around me.

The makeover focuses on realistic solutions that can be incorporated into a mom’s busy life but that can make a big impact on her daily beauty and fashion choices. Each episode will follow the mom through her total makeover transformation, offering tips and inspiration for the audience.

“It’s easy to find ourselves putting everyone else’s needs above our own,” explains Daisy. “Moms do this all the time, at their own expense. They find themselves rushing to get ready in the morning, not giving themselves the time and attention they deserve. I felt like I had to do something about this.”

No one knows better than Daisy Teh on how challenging it can be to balance the demands of motherhood while staying true to yourself. A teen mom at just 17, Teh got her cosmetology license and worked her way through college for makeup brands like Lancome and Borghese, where she fell in love with beauty and style. Despite her passion, Daisy Teh still struggled to raise two children, attend school, work and find time to look and feel her best. Once she landed a full time corporate job, she now has four children and a large family to care for. Despite living her “dream life”, Daisy Teh found herself tired, haggard and uninspired by makeup or clothing. “I felt like I’d lost myself,” Daisy recalls.

The It Mom Dream Team includes a slew of fashion, beauty, style, and media experts from across the country as well as four other online influencers who serve as the Dream Team Influencer Panel of judges and believe as she does, that the series will be life changing for the participating women and a true inspiration for viewers. “It’s important to lift one another up and support each other,” Daisy says. “This team believes in that vision.”
