DAISY: How many children do you have and what are their ages?
DESIREE: I have a 9-year old son.
DAISY: What are your favorite hobbies and/or types of community service you serve in?
DESIREE: My hobbies include reading, thrift shopping, writing, crafty things, vegan cooking and baking.
DAISY: Walk us through what your mornings look like getting everyone ready for the day:
DESIREE: Wake up, let the dog out, wake up my son and get his breakfast. Get in the shower, get dressed, quick hair, very little makeup. Get son dressed, then off we go to school and work.
DAISY: Do you know how to use hair irons (ex: curling iron, flat iron and/or heat rollers)?
DESIREE: Yes
DAISY: How do you typically style your hair on a normal day?
DESIREE: Pulled back into a ponytail or bun.
DAISY: When was the last time you received a haircut from a salon professional?
DESIREE: Over 2+ years ago.
DAISY: Do you know how to apply makeup?
DESIREE: Yes.
DAISY: How do you typically apply makeup on a normal day?
DESIREE: Very minimal, foundation and lip gloss only.
DAISY: How much time do you think you need each morning to get yourself ready?
DESIREE: About 30 minutes.
DAISY: When was the last time you made time for yourself?
DESIREE: A few months ago.
DAISY: What do you feel needs improvement with your current style and look?
DESIREE: I need wardrobe help. I work in a very casual environment so I usually only wear jeans and t-shirts.
Desiree's Story:
I am a single mom and work full-time. I love beauty, makeup and fashion, but never seem to have the money or the time to create the looks and styles that I want.
Sometimes as a single parent, I feel like I should spend most of my time and money on my son, so I feel a little guilty when I buy things for myself. I enjoy learning about new ways to create current styles but sometimes I don't have the courage to try them out or to wear them regularly.
I would love to have more knowledge about clothing and wardrobe pieces to look put together. I want something quick and easy, yet still looks classy and sophisticated
